Discover the power of mindfulness and community to reset your energy, reclaim balance, and thrive in life’s journey this spring!
...it’s so easy to lose sight of our own well-being and health in the noise of daily life. The demands of work, family, and personal responsibilities take all of our energy, and when we do think about them, it’s usually in the ‘oh crap’ moments. It’s when we realize that we never got the time… to exercise, to meal prep or even eat some days, or we barely have time to sit down and decompress before we fall into bed.
Sometimes, we wake up and realize just how far off track we’ve gotten. Whether it’s due to stress, overwhelming obligations, or simply the passage of time, we can find ourselves in need of a reset. In spring, as nature wakes up and starts to bloom, we have the perfect opportunity to do the same for ourselves.
This winter, I’ve been a little quiet in the online space. I was visited by some old friends—ones I thought I had gracefully outgrown. It turns out they needed a bit more closure. Maybe I strong-armed them out the door before they were ready and didn’t really include them in the process. They are Self-Sabotage, Overwhelm, and Doubt. I am NOT my best self around these old friends; they suck my energy, and then my other friends, Avoidance, Lethargy, and Procrastination, swoop in to save the day and comfort me.
This time, they showed up, and I handled them a little differently. Once I recognized them—because they tend to change their appearance a lot—I started to get curious.
Why are they here? What do they need from me? Why do I need them? I began to look at the obvious triggers to identify the ‘need’ they were serving in my life. So much of the time, fear of some type was at the core—fear and some other not quite identifiable unmet need. And that’s where this idea of a reset came from.
At first, I tried to push through and strong-arm them out the door, AGAIN, completely trying to overhaul my life. That’s when I recognized another old friend: Push-Through, who only increases my overwhelm and drops me further back into that vicious cycle.
I've been slowly learning and allowing, that I don’t need to force things. It’s so much better to go inward, get out of my head, and drop into my body, practicing mindfulness to see where it takes me.
...and things are starting to fall into place. I don’t need to completely overhaul every aspect of my life. When I tune in, I notice the subtle shifts that will have the most impact. What will bring the most balance to my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health? The small, subtle shifts weave together beautifully. It’s sometimes hard to recognize these shifts, and even harder to stop looking for the ‘big fix’—the total overhaul that will solve everything. And the old friend make it a bit uncomfortable.
Now, I’ve decided to invite them in to stay a while, instead of pushing them away. It’s quite the party over here! I’m giving my friends the space and grace they need, and seeing where they take me. Sometimes they lead me astray from where I think I’m headed, but as long as I remain aware and mindful of their impact, I can make gentle choices that nudge me in a better direction.
This is where I am as I revamp my Reset Your Energy with Mindfulness program and develop my 3-Week Challenge. This is the true path to regaining control, reclaiming personal power, and stepping into a life of greater health, balance, and joy than ever before. If any of this resonates with you—if you have old friends like mine—just know you don’t have to do this alone. Read on to discover how introducing a new friend called mindfulness can change the game and help you rebalance.
Many of us experience moments when our usual routines no longer serve us. Maybe you’ve noticed that your energy levels have plummeted, or you’re feeling more stressed and overwhelmed than ever. Are you grappling with weight gain, chronic pain, or emotional fatigue, all while juggling the responsibilities of a busy life. It’s in these moments of realization that the idea of a reset takes hold.
For busy women, the signs of needing a reset can manifest in many ways:
But here’s the good news: a reset doesn’t have to be a monumental effort. Small, intentional steps can lead to profound transformation. By embracing mindfulness practices, you can cultivate a sense of calm and clarity that allows you to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease.
Mindfulness is a powerful tool for restoring balance and energy. It encourages us to slow down and reconnect with ourselves, even amidst the chaos. Just 10 to 20 minutes a day dedicated to mindfulness can make a world of difference.
This is the essence of mindfulness: recognizing that the ability to create change lies within you, and with small daily practices, you can rediscover that and take back your power.
The journey of self-discovery and wellness is deeply personal and individual. However, it doesn’t have to be undertaken alone. The energy of community can amplify our efforts and provide invaluable support. When we come together with like-minded individuals, we create a space for encouragement, accountability, and shared growth.
How can you embrace this season of renewal? Consider how a reset could benefit you.
